Singapore: Day 1 (Getting There, Singapore Flyer and Helix Bridge).
We departed Chiang Mai mid-morning and arrived in Singapore early afternoon. We changed time zones…and… we also changed languages! Back to English! The boys did a great job on the 3-hour flight, although, Jack did switch between watching “Yo Gabba Gabba” and playing with some blocks about one thousand times during the short time we…

Chiang Mai: Day 5 (Chiang Mai Zoo and Wat Prathat Doi Suthep).
Our only plan on our last day in Chiang Mai was to finally make the trek up Doi Suthep mountain to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, a large temple that is located at the top of the mountain just west of the city. We had no intention of going to the Chiang Mai Zoo —…

Street Markets and Street Food.
We have two more “slow” weekends before we take off for Malaysia (if I can get my passport updated in time…otherwise, the boys might have to go without me)! We are enjoying the time off.

The Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha (and the Mandarin Oriental), Bangkok.
While uploading the photos of Dusit last night I realized that I had not posted our earlier trip to the Grand Palace. The Grand Palace was the residence of the royal family before they moved into Dusit Palace. It is probably the most visited attraction in Bangkok — if not all of Thailand.

Dusit Zoo and Dusit Palace, Bangkok.
The bad news: we may be stuck in Thailand a while longer (while we wait for our travel funding to get approved in mid-November). The good news: we may be stuck in Thailand a while longer (we have Halloween, October break and plenty to keep us busy through October). Today we went to Dusit…
