Sirocco Sky Bar @ Lebua (the Hangover Bar)(Bangrak, Bangkok, Thailand).

If you want to see Bangkok from all new heights – head to Sirocco Sky Bar.  If you want to spend 25 dollars on a martini – head to Sirocco Sky Bar…

Chad and I had a date night this weekend.  We decided recently that we need to take advantage of the cheap child care available in Bangkok before we head back to not-so-cheap D.C. (I foresee us never going out again after we return to Virginia).  We headed to Jim Thompson house for dinner then down to Sky Bar for drinks before finishing the night at the Hotel Muse cigar bar.

We were too late to get the tour of the Jim Thompson house – but we plan on heading back soon.  The Hotel Muse is great and close to home which is why we finished the night there.

So, the big trip of the night was to Sky Bar. Sky Bar was featured in the second Hangover movie.  The Sirocco Restaurant and Sky Bar are located at the top of the Lebua Hotel and overlook the Chao Phraya River.  Chad and I jumped off at the Saphin Taskin BTS stop and were able to navigate our way on foot to the bar.  The bar and restaurant are absolutely gorgeous.  You really do get a breathtaking view of the city…but…if you decide to head to Sky Bar for a couple drinks, as we did, bring A LOT of baht!  Sirocco is not cheap!  A martini was approximately 25 dollars.  I hope we can make our way back to Sirocco for a nice dinner before we leave Bangkok (which I assume will also be pricey💸).  The restaurant serves mediterranean and is the largest open air mediterranean restaurant in the world.   http://www.lebua.com/sirocco

We headed to Sirocco for a couple drinks. We didnt need dinner-we filled up on silkworms on the way.
Yes, these are cockroaches.
Bangkok has us all, now.
The view from the top.
