Chad’s Trip to Burma (Kalaw British Hill Station and Inle Lake).

Chad is at his final stop on his Burma tour, Inle Lake.

Inle lake is located in central Myanmar and is the second largest fresh water lake in the country.  Chad will spend two days at the lake.

Looks COLD.

On his way to Inle, Chad stopped at a town called Kalaw.  Chad described Kalaw as a former British Hill Station in the mountains.  Wikipedia describes a “hill station” as a town located at a higher elevation than the nearby plain or valley. The term was used mostly in colonial Asia, but also in Africa, for towns founded by European colonial rulers as refuges from the summer heat, up where temperatures are cooler.  This sounds about right–I know Chad has been enjoying some much cooler weather.

Sam and Jack are both excited for daddy to come home.  Sammy viewed some of the pictures of Chad’s trip today.  Sam’s reaction to the photos: “Is that daddy?  Why does he have a moustache?  If he comes here lets laugh at him because he’s got a beard and a mustache.”

Good idea, Sammy.  Let’s do that!
