Krabi: Day 2 (Jungle Hot Springs, Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave Temple).

Today Sammy, Jack and I went on a tour of the jungle.  We went to the Krabi hot springs, Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave Temple.  The hot springs and Emerald Pool are both located in one of the local national parks and are surrounded by some nature trails.  Sam and Jack loved playing in the water but they were both upset we couldn’t  stay longer (like, all day).   Jack wanted to dive straight into the Emerald Pool.  He has absolutely no fear.

The last stop was the Tiger Cave Temple.  The temple complex is located at the base of a mountain with the actual temple at the peak.  It is over 1,200 very steep stairs to the top.  While normally I would take the trek up, I don’t think it would be humanly possible for me to make it all the way to the top carrying two small children (which is what would have happened).  We only had an hour at the temple and we were happy to stay at the bottom and play with the monkeys:

We wrapped up our day back at Ao Nang Bay playing in the sand.  Sam loved playing “destruction” zone and being the “destruction” boss.  He kept telling Jack and I we were doing a good job digging.  Sam is pretty despondent over the fact that beach time is over.  But, I promised him some weekend pool dates.  We will be sad to leave Krabi–but happy to see Chad later in the week (hopefully, in time for Sam’s big Christmas recital at school!).
