Chad took a solo trip to Nakhon Ratcha Sima or “Korat,” Thailand this week. Korat is actually the name of the old city located in the same area that is now Nakhon Ratcha Sima – but many locals still refer to the area as Korat. Korat is about 4 hours from Bangkok.
While in Korat, Chad went to Phimai to visit Phimai historical park, including the national museum and Prasat Hin Phi Mai castle. The castle marks the end of the ancient Khmer highway which starts in the northern city of Angkor. Chad also toured the city center and ate lots of local cuisine…yes, those are bugs.
Enjoy!
